When I was about 14, I tried using an eyelash comb, but the bristles were plastic and super thick (that’s what she said!) Let’s fast forward through some awkward, tough times and I decided that mascaras themselves just weren’t “separating” the way they said advertised. So I took this madness into my own hands and got myself a Tweezerman Eyelash Comb, and I about died of amazingness. 
This thing separates, separates, and separates! Its sharp though. Use a steady hand and don’t poke your eye because I did that once and it hurt like a massive bitch.
